About the KC Swiss Society
History The Kansas City Swiss Society is the successor organization to a Kansas City-based benevolent Swiss society initially founded in 1876. It is incorporated in the State of Missouri as a General "Not For Profit" Corporation and operates as a membership club within the meaning of Section 501(c)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or corresponding provisions of any future Internal Revenue Law). Mission Statement The Kansas City Swiss Society is organized for benevolent, cultural, educational, social and fraternal purposes to promote awareness and appreciation of Swiss culture and heritage, providing recreation, social programs and other benefits to foster, encourage and promote among its members love, affection and the traditions of the Swiss nation and people, and loyalty and allegiance to the United States of America. Membership Native citizens of Switzerland and their descendants, as well as eligible friends of the Swiss who are of reputable character, are eligible for membership in The Kansas City Swiss Society.
